We are looking for a person that has skills in a variety of areas that would complement our current staff and provide the best possible care to our patients. Qualified candidates should have expertise in the treatment of orthopedic conditions along with conditions that affect an aging population.
Responsibilities would include the traditional activities involved in outpatient physical therapy such as implementation of treatment plans, delivery of care, documentation and communication with colleagues and referral sources. Other responsibilities would include public speaking and participation in community events, contributions to web-based information/marketing, and fostering relationships with local referral sources.

Northern Michigan Sports Medicine Centers in Petoskey is looking for three an energetic person to join our team as a physical therapy aide/technician. This position is a great learning opportunity for anyone interested in going into the medical field – physical therapy, occupational therapy, physician, physician assistant, nursing, and athletic training. We treat a wide variety of orthopedic and sports injuries for all ages, providing a dynamic work and learning environment.
Candidate must be flexible in their weekly schedule, a multitasker, organized, be a productive proficient typist, and have ability to interact pleasantly with patients to ensure excellent customer service.
Experience in exercise instruction is preferred along with knowledge of musculoskeletal anatomy. The job duties would include assisting fitness customers, orienting customers to equipment, teaching classes, cleaning equipment, and helping to maintain an upbeat, efficient clinical environment during treatments.
Job Type: 35-40 hours per week
$12-15 based on experience
Education:

Certified Athletic Trainer

Job description:
This position will be a full time position opening immediately. The primary responsibilities of the ATC will be split clinical and outreach position. These responsibilities will include, after school training room duties, event coverage for all varsity sports, injury prevention and sports enhancement duties for various age groups. This position will also involve clinical responsibilities, such as rehabilitation for orthopedic conditions of all age groups under supervision of a physical therapist and training and instruction for various wellness programs.
This position is a 40 hour position that will include clinical hours, high school responsibilities and game coverage. This position does require evening and weekend responsibilities at varied times. This position is hourly wage 20-25$/hr. Includes health insurance package option, PTO, continuing education reimbursement yearly, clothing /embroidery stipend, along with national, district and state membership fee reimbursement.

- Communicate with athlete, coach, parent, AD and physician regarding injury, recommendations, return to play, and referral process
- Offer rehabilitation and reconditioning of athletes

Job responsibilities
The Billing Assistant tasks include:
- Edits patient registrations
- Assists Insurance Specialist with insurance verifications
- Primary receptionist for billing department
- Assists patients with questions about their coverage and statements
- Posts electronic payments from payors
- Corrects claims and follows up on claims which pay incorrectly
- Audits charges entered by clinicians
- Generates claims and transmits to payors
- Miscellaneous other clerical duties
In addition, the Billing Assistant will assist with other tasks in the billing department so that full coverage can be maintained at all times.
They will serve as a valued member of the health care team, helping patients get the medical procedures they need.
Education and Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Prefer a candidate with some prior experience working in healthcare billing setting. Applicants should have a working knowledge of healthcare insurance coverage and are familiar with insurance and billing policies and procedures. Detail oriented and knowledge of how to navigate insurance portals is required as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
